United Way Funds 211 Project in Columbiana County
Some 24,000 people living in the Salem, Columbiana, Lisbon, East Palestine, Washingtonville and surrounding areas will learn more about Help Network of Northeast Ohio’s 211 information service, thanks in part to funding received from United Way Services of Northern Columbiana County.
The Agency was awarded $3,225 towards efforts to promote its crisis, suicide hotline and information and referral services it provides in these areas, as well as its Peer Resource and Recovery Center services located in East Liverpool and Salem Ohio.
Help Network CEO Vince Brancaccio said, “We are grateful for this funding. The rural areas of Columbiana County don’t always know that ‘Help is Here’ and is just a phone call away by dialing 211. The funding will provide outreach by staff in these communities.”
